So, let’s dive into April’s role. Could you give us a sneak peek into your do day to day and share a bit about your job?
We work constantly to better understand our players and deliver exciting campaigns to them.
I spend a lot of days aligning with other teams to plan content and communication that resonates. Plus I spend a bit of time each day chatting with players on Facebook.
We’re curious to find out how long you’ve been involved in the player-facing field and what aspects make it rewarding for you?
I have a background in design, so I think I’ve always been player-facing, but it’s so much more rewarding in Community Management.
I love how engaged the audience is in games, and how you feel fulfilled by making their day better with their favorite activity.
Having a background in design must be really beneficial in gaining deeper insights into your players! We’re eager to know
if there are any other professionals in the field who inspire you, considering your distinctive path and experiences in community management?
I am so lucky to work with my colleagues at Wooga. Everyone here has the player in mind when making decisions,
but I want to give a shout-out to Dario and Rodrigo, my fellow CMs. Dream team!
How important is Player Feedback for your role?
While it can be a blessing and a curse, it is everything. Understanding feedback gives you the data to make smart decisions.
So… we’ve heard that you’re an Affogata user! 😊 What makes you choose Affogata?
We are blessed with an overwhelming amount of feedback. We use Affogata to take a bird’s eye approach to get an objective view of it.
What was it like before you used the Affogata tool and Why use a Player Analytics Platform in the first place?
We struggled to relate the community sentiment in a context beyond sharing comments or putting it into our personal opinions.
We wanted to be able to provide a structured and objective look at the sentiment that added data points into the emotions of the community.
In what ways did it contribute to your team achieving the goal or resolving the issue?
We use Affogata to show the impact of sentiment and track its evolution over time through graphs and word clouds.
It takes it away from just one voice and allows us to analyze the big picture.
How do you measure success and how did it personally impact you?
Success is engaged and happy players!
It’s made my job as a community manager easier because I can tell the story of our players more easily and with solid analysis.
